On the 1st of September of 1945 the second World War ended. That was also the date of the proclamation of the Third Republic of Sevain. It was a surprise for everybody, but even more surprising was that the Republic was abolished three months later. Some say it was due to a notorious mayhem across the administration regarding the decision of how to celebrate Christmas – being it a Catholic tradition, and being the Third Republic founded upon non-denominational basis. Anyway, a coup d’état followed that mayhem and a fascist regime took over Sevain for more than thirty years.
